This shows groundwater levels are increasing gradually in areas across Chennai city, and if we collectively start taking efforts to save rainwater, we can see a constant rise in the levels and revive our water table in the process.
Chennai Metro Water has several shallow monitoring wells spread across the city that is divided into zones. The collected groundwater level data denotes the average water level of the particular zone.
